Ryan Mountcastle knocked 2 homeruns as the San Jose I Invaders ballclub
embarrassed the San Jose KZ Kitchen Zinks by the count of 13 to
3.
Mountcastle really lit it up for San Jose I. The San Jose KZ fans let him
have it for what he did to their boys. He lined a single scoring a run in
the 1st inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 6th inning and
depressed the partisan hometown fans with a grand slam home run in the 7th
inning. San Jose I had many opportunities throughout the game and scored in
6 separate innings.
The victory went to Dylan Cease(1-1) who went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs. Zack
Littell(0-2) was given the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and 2
walks in 4 innings.
'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Mountcastle said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
