Tobias Myers whiffed 10 batters at Banner Ig Ballpark as the Inglewood Ignats
beat the Santa Rosa Palms by the count of 5 to 0.
Myers(1-0) was tremendous on the mound for Inglewood. He allowed just 1 hit
and no walks in 7 innings. Inglewood had only 6 hits for the afternoon.
Myers got help from Jose Butto who earned his 1st save. Hunter Greene(0-1)
ended up with the loss. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Myers -
except Santa Rosa. Jason Welco lamented, 'He just was 'on' this afternoon.
He was keeping our guys off balance all game. A fine game by a good
strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately
we were the visitors!'

San Jose KZ scored the winning runs in the 9th inning as they scored 4 runs on 2 base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Spencer Steer who silenced the crowd when he doubled clearing the bases. San Jose KZ totaled 7 hits on the afternoon. Hunter Stratton(1-0) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Nick Anderson earned the save, his 1st. Nick Lodolo(1-1) took the loss in relief. He was not very effective, surrendering 4 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. Jerry Unger was understandably not very talkative after his team's tough loss. He quickly showered and changed and when asked about the game had a terse, yet polite response, 'Hey fellows, that game was a heart-breaker to lose. Our guys gave it their all and played well - fate just wasn't smilin' on us this afternoon'Strat-O-Matic Report
