Justin Turner rocketed 2 homeruns at Fatboy Stadium as the San Jose KZ Kitchen
Zinks beat the Fullerton Fatboys 11 to 3.
 
Turner had a big day at the plate.  He launched a Grand Slam homerun in the
2nd inning and clubbed a two-run home run in the 9th inning.  Fullerton was
out-hit by San Jose KZ, 14 hits to 5.  
 
Luis Gil(1-0) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Nick
Anderson got the save, his 2nd.  The loss was charged to Justin
Verlander(0-1).  He surrendered 4 hits and no walks in 1 inning.

One run was the difference at the Moon Dome as the Stockton OK Boomers
defeated the Santa Rosa Palms in 10 innings 5 to 4.
 
The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings.  Stockton ended up
winning it in the 10th inning.  Whit Merrifield delivered a base-hit scoring
the run.  Stockton had 12 hits for the game and Santa Rosa had 3.  
 
Tyler Ferguson(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and
allowing 1 run. John Means(0-1) was the loser in relief.  He was a hard-luck
loser, pitching 2 and 2/3 innings and not allowing an earned run.

Fernando Tatis Jr homered and had 4 RBI as the Petaluma River Kings topped the
San Jose I Invaders in 11 innings by a score of 6 to 5 at Murphy Field.
 
Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings.  Petaluma won the
hard fought contest in the 11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Rafael
Devers was walked intentionally.  Spencer Torkelson followed, but he was set
down on strikes.  Tatis Jr then lined a one-base hit resulting in a mighty
exciting win for Petaluma and the 19,819 home town fans in attendance.  San
Jose I out-hit Petaluma 12 to 7, but Petaluma ended up with more runs.
 
Brusdar Graterol(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 3 and 1/3 innings.
The losing pitcher was Chad Green(0-1) in relief.  It was a tough loss for
him as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 innings of work.

Chris Sale struck out 15 batters as the Selma Stompers man-handled the Palo
Alto Pinkos - the final score was 12 to 1.
 
Sale(1-0) simply dominated Palo Alto.  He didn't allow much, just 2 hits and 1
walk in 8 innings.  For the game Selma out-hit Palo Alto 11 to 3.  
 
Zac Gallen(0-1) took the loss.  He gave up 7 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings of
work.  'He was really impressive today,' Gallen said of his counterpart.
'Our guys were just swinging at air.'
