The Stockton OK Boomers bested the San Jose KZ Kitchen Zinks by a 6 to 3 score
at Billy Hebert Field.

Stockton jumped on top to stay in the 2nd inning when they came up with 2 runs
on 1 hit. The key offensive moment was provided by Andy Pages who made the
Stockton fans a happy lot when he smashed a two-run homer. San Jose KZ
threatened in the 9th but Stockton was able to put down the rally.

Sean Manaea(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 1 run. Manaea got help from Garrett Whitlock who was credited with
his 1st save. The loss was charged to Zack Littell(0-1). He was stingy with
the baserunners, allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings.

Jerry O'Connor was beaming after the game, 'Not only were we making good
contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to have 'eyes'! I just love winning
these tight ones! It was just our day - no doubt about it!'
