The hometown crowd was rewarded with a dramatic ending, as the San Jose I
Invaders staged a comeback win over the Inglewood Ignats by the count of 3 to
2.

San Jose I came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with
2 runs on 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Gleyber Torres kicked off
the action when he delivered a one-base hit. Henry Davis stepped up to the
plate and he drew a walk. Zach Neto then doubled plating a run. Yoan
Moncada came up and he was walked intentionally to load the bases. Cade
Marlowe was the next batter, but he struck out. Daulton Varsho kept the
rally going and lined a base-hit making San Jose I the winners and sending
the 45,727 fans home happy. San Jose I rapped out 7 hits for the afternoon.

The winning pitcher was Tyler Glasnow(2-1) who allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. Ryan Walker(0-1) suffered the loss in relief. Tom O'Connor was in
great spirits in his post-game interview. Yet, when asked about his feelings
after the thrilling comeback victory, he volunteered, 'I'll tell you this
much - I know how my counterpart, Jeff Bergman, feels right now - and it's
not very good. It's terrible when you come up on the short end of one of
these!'
