In a close game it was the San Jose I Invaders 7, the Inglewood Ignats 5 at
Banner Ig Ballpark.
San Jose I came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 8th inning scoring
3 runs utilizing 2 base hits. After two outs Kyle Schwarber began the rally
when he reached on an error. Gleyber Torres next to the plate and he laced a
base-hit. Henry Davis then belted a three-run homer. San Jose I totaled 7
hits on the afternoon.
Matt Manning(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 3 and 2/3 innings.
The losing pitcher was Jose Butto(0-1) in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings allowing 2 hits and no walks.

Justin Verlander came through with a solid 7 innings as the Fullerton Fatboys
defeated the Stockton OK Boomers by the score of 3 to 1 at Fatboy
Stadium.
Fullerton claimed the early lead in the first inning plating an isolated run
on 3 hits. Stockton made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to
push the needed runs across.
Verlander(1-1) got the win allowing no runs in 7 innings. Caleb Ferguson
gained credit for his 1st save. Logan Allen(0-2) was charged with the loss.
He was unable to control the Fullerton offense and allowed 7 hits and 3 walks
in 4 and 2/3 innings.
