Stockton Delta Kings broke the deadlock in their last at bats, pulling out a
5 to 4 win over the Selma Stompers and sending their hometown fans home
smiling.
Stockton scored the deciding run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Joey Bart
stroked a one-base hit. Gavin Lux stepped up to the plate and he delivered a
single. Dylan Carlson then stroked a base-hit giving Stockton the win as
39,921 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Stockton won despite being out-hit by
Selma 11 hits to 8.
The win went to Jack Flaherty(1-2) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Brayan
Bello(1-1) was hit with the loss in relief. By giving up 1 run in 1/3 of an
inning his ERA increased from 3.38 to 4.32.

2 runs on 1 hit. The critical plate appearance was by Chisholm who silenced
the crowd when he clubbed a two-run home run. San Jose KZ rapped out 9 hits
for the afternoon.
Tony Gonsolin(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing
1 run. Gonsolin got relief help from Yohan Ramirez who gained credit for his
1st save. Spencer Strider(0-1) was given the loss. Despite taking the loss,
he whiffed 11 batters in 8 innings.

The San Jose I Invaders nipped the Palo Alto Pinkos 3 to 2 at the Invaderdome
in a hard fought contest.
San Jose I jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 7th inning plating one
baserunner on 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Nate Eaton laced a
base-knock. Eaton took his lead and swiped second. After another out,
Gleyber Torres then laced a base-hit scoring the run. Palo Alto had a chance
to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Gerrit Cole(1-0) allowed 1 run in 7 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. James Karinchak recorded the save, his 2nd. Freddy Peralta(0-1)
ended up with the loss in relief. He gave up 3 hits and no walks in 2 and
1/3 innings.
