The Selma Stompers toppled the Santa Rosa Palms by a 7 to 3 score at the Moon
Dome.
 
Selma brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 7th inning when they
came up with 3 base hits.  The key at-bat was by Jose Siri who disappointed
the partisan crowd when he popped a two-run clout over the fence.  Selma
banged out 10 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Jameson Taillon(1-3) went 7 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. The loss
was charged to Spencer Strider(0-2).  Despite the loss, he struckout 10 Selma
batters in 6 and 1/3 innings.

Designated hitter Dansby Swanson cracked a homer and had 3 RBI as the Stockton
Delta Kings bested the San Jose KZ Kitchen Zinks 5 to 3 at Zink County
Stadium.
 
Stockton drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
when they scored 3 runs on 3 hits.  The critical plate appearance was by
Swanson who quieted the crowd when he belted a three-run homer.  Clayton
Kershaw came throught with a perfect ninth inning to earn his 1st save.
 
The winning pitcher was Lucas Giolito(1-0) who allowed 3 runs in 5 and 2/3
innings. Josh Rogers(1-2) was given the loss.  He surrendered 4 runs and 8
hits in 6 and 1/3 innings.

Jhoan Duran had an impressive outing as the Inglewood Ignats won a
heart-stopping victory over the Palo Alto Pinkos, 2 to 1.
 
Inglewood won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.  Luis
Robert stroked a one-base hit.  One out later, Eric Haase was a strikeout
victim, unable to help out.  Chas McCormick then doubled resulting in a
mighty exciting win for Inglewood and the 40,448 home town fans in
attendance.  Inglewood finished with just 6 hits in the victory.  
 
The win was credited to Edwin Diaz(3-0) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing no
runs. Garrett Whitlock(1-2) was the loser in relief.  He allowed 1 run and 2
hits in 1 and 2/3 innings.

In a lop-sided win the San Jose I Invaders ripped the Fullerton Fatboys by a 7
to 2 count.
 
Aaron Nola(3-1) had a solid outing for San Jose I.  He allowed 5 hits and no
walks in 8 innings and served up 2 'big flies'.  San Jose I out-hit Fullerton
for the game, 14 hits to 5.  
 
Justin Steele(0-3) took the loss.  He was knocked around by San Jose I,
allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
