Noah Syndergaard allowed Jerryrob O'Stransky to rest his bullpen, tossing a
complete game at Banner Ig Ballpark as the Fullerton Fatboys beat the
Inglewood Ignats by the count of 7 to 1.
Inglewood was unable to climb back into it after Fullerton went ahead for good
in the top of the 2nd inning plating one baserunner using 2 hits. Neither
team managed to score after the 4th inning.
The victory was credited to Syndergaard(1-0) who went the distance, allowing 1
run. Robbie Ray(0-1) was tagged with the loss. He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 10 hits and 3 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.

The Palo Alto Pinkos and the Stockton Delta Kings locked up in an exciting
one-run game at Billy Hebert Field. The final score was the Palo Alto Pinkos
6, the Stockton Delta Kings 5.
Palo Alto had the game winning rally in the 8th inning with 2 runs. Xander
Bogaerts kicked off the action when he was hit by a pitch. After an out was
recorded, Todd Frazier came to the plate and drew a walk. Justin Upton was
next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim. Kennys Vargas stepped in and he
drew a walk to load the bases. Andrew McCutchen came up to bat and slapped a
single driving home two runs. This was a game of many highs and lows for the
home town fans, as the lead kept changing - 5 times in all.
Andrew Triggs(1-0) went 3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Matt Moore(0-2)
ended up with the loss in relief. He gave up 2 runs and 1 hit in 1 and 1/3
innings.

Tommy Joseph blasted 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Selma Stompers outscored
the San Jose I Invaders 5 to 3.
Joseph enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He popped a two-run clout over the
fence in the 1st inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 5th inning. San
Jose I had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Danny Salazar(3-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 3 runs. Nick Wittgren earned his 1st save. Jake Thompson(1-1) was
the losing pitcher. Selma knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 5 runs in
4 and 2/3 innings.
