Mike Clevinger blanked Inglewood in a very well-pitched complete game and
Khris Davis smashed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at Fatboy Stadium as the
smoking-hot Fullerton Fatboys beat the Inglewood Ignats 7 to 0.
Davis was spectacular at the plate. The hometown fans showed their
appreciation with a standing ovation his last time at bat. He clubbed a solo
home run in the 4th inning, lofted a three-run bomb in the 6th inning and
slapped a single bringing in a run in the 7th inning. Fullerton managed 11
hits in their victory.
Clevinger(2-0) went the distance for the shutout. Robbie Ray(0-2) was the
loser. He gave up 5 runs and 6 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings. 'Davis led the
way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Clevinger said. 'I'm
glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
