Josh Donaldson smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Tanner Roark tossed a
shutout as the Fullerton Fatboys man-handled the Palo Alto Pinkos - the final
score was 10 to 0.
Donaldson was really in 'the zone'. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, doubled plating a run in the 2nd inning and lifted one out of the
park for a two run home run in the 9th inning. Fullerton had 10 hits for the
afternoon.
Roark(4-2) went the distance for the shutout. The loss was charged to Jose
Berrios(0-3). He got hammered, allowing 5 hits and 3 walks in 2 innings.
Donaldson said, 'It was just all timing. I had pretty good rhythm at the plate
today. You've got to take advantage of mistakes when you can. A couple
pitches were definitely up a little bit - right in my zone.'
