Jorge Polanco knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Palo Alto Pinkos
defeated the Inglewood Ignats 6 to 1 at Banner Ig Ballpark.
The Inglewood fans didn't appreciate the big day Polanco had. He slapped a
one-base hit in the 1st inning, delivered a base-hit in the 3rd inning,
popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 7th inning and lifted one out of
the park for a two run home run in the 9th inning. Both teams ended up with
9 hits on the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Zach Davies(1-2) who allowed 1 run in 7 and 2/3
innings. Blake Snell recorded his 1st save. The losing pitcher was Mark
Leiter(2-1). He gave up 2 runs and 6 hits in 5 innings.
'The ball was jumping off my bat,' Polanco said. 'I didn't do anything
differently, it's the same way I always approach the game.'
