The Santa Rosa Palms enjoyed a blow-out, pounding the Selma Stompers pitchers
for 15 while Michael Pineda(2-2), with relief help from Kevin Siegrist,
allowed Selma 7 runs.
Santa Rosa took the lead for keeps in the top of the 2nd inning when they
tallied 2 runs on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Delino Deshields who
deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he doubled bringing home two
baserunners. Santa Rosa bats were very productive in the 3rd inning plating
4 runs and the 6th inning with 6 runs on 7 hits. Santa Rosa finished with 17
hits while Selma ended up with 12.
Tony Cingrani(0-2) was tagged with the loss. Despite losing, he struckout 4
Santa Rosa batters in 1 and 2/3 innings.

Shelby Miller dominated striking out 10 Inglewood batters at Banner Ig
Ballpark as the Palo Alto Pinkos beat the Inglewood Ignats 8 to
6.
Miller(1-2) pitched a solid game. He went 9 innings and surrended up 10 hits
and 3 walks and was touched for 3 homeruns. Palo Alto totaled 8 hits on the
afternoon.
Robbie Ray(0-2) was the losing pitcher. Miller was asked about his big
strikeout performance, 'Well, it's a little odd when you rack up these
numbers on the road - instead of cheers and a running tally in the stands,
everything gets real still and quiet. Just strange - but it's nice to be
able to take the crowd out of the game.'
