as the Palo Alto Pinkos beat the San Jose KZ Kitchen Zinks by the count of 3
to 0.
Stroman(1-0) looked very much in control throughout the day. He was stingy on
the mound, allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings lowering his ERA from
11.57 to 4.26. The right-handed Stroman had his no-hit bid broken up by
Travis Shaw who singled with two outs in the 6th inning. The San Jose KZ
batters went down meekly in the bottom of the 9th.
Max Scherzer(0-1) was the loser. He gave up 6 hits and 5 walks in 5 and 2/3
innings.
