Tony Gonsolin went 7 strong innings at the Invaderdome where the sizzling San
Jose KZ Kitchen Zinks beat the San Jose I Invaders 5 to 2.
San Jose KZ drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
when they tallied 2 runs on 1 hit. The key offensive moment was provided by
Bryce Harper who quieted the crowd when he bombed a two-run dinger. After
the 3rd inning, neither team was able to score.
Gonsolin(2-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Gonsolin got help from
Yohan Ramirez who earned his 3rd save. Gerrit Cole(2-1) took the loss.

Dominic Smith slammed a homerun at Pinko Field as the Palo Alto Pinkos beat
the Santa Rosa Palms by the count of 4 to 2.
Palo Alto came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning with 2
runs using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Rhys Hoskins jump-started the
rally as he smacked a single. Pete Alonso followed next and he clubbed a
two-run home run. Palo Alto had 7 hits for the afternoon.
Zac Gallen(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 8 innings. Kyle Cody
got the save, his 1st. Jonathan Holder(0-1) was given the loss in relief.

Mike Clevinger dominated striking out 11 Stockton batters as the Fullerton
Fatboys defeated the Stockton Delta Kings 2 to 1 at Fatboy
Stadium.
Clevinger(2-0) gave Fullerton a solid outing. He allowed just 5 hits and no
walks in 7 innings lowering his ERA from 7.94 to 4.26. Fullerton managed
only 6 hits on the afternoon.
Clevinger got help from Bryan Garcia who was credited with his 1st save. Nate
Pearson(0-2) was the loser in relief. Everyone seemed to enjoy the
performance of Clevinger - except Stockton. Chris O'Connor lamented, 'He
just was 'on' this afternoon. He was keeping our guys off balance all game.
A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun game for the
hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
