In a dramatic ending, the Stockton Delta Kings staged a comeback win over the
Santa Rosa Palms by the count of 5 to 4.
Stockton scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3
runs utilizing 3 base hits. Alec Bohm led off and started the attack as he
laced a one-base hit. Joc Pederson was next and he drew a walk. One out
later, Dylan Carlson dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Adam
Eaton stepped in and he tripled which was good for two runs. Dansby Swanson
came to the plate and was walked intentionally. Anthony Rendon added to the
rally and singled resulting in an exciting win for Stockton and a raucous
post-game celebration by the home town fans. Stockton out-hit Santa Rosa for
the game, 10 hits to 5.
Luis Patino(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing 1
run. Jacob Webb(0-1) was given the loss in relief. He allowed 5 hits and 2
walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
'Now that is what I call fun! I just love baseball, especially games like
this, of course,' Chris O'Connor offered. 'Everyone at the stadium had a
great time - did you see the fans go wild there at the end?!'

Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings. Palo Alto came out
the victor in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Mike Trout got
things rolling when he drew a walk. Pete Alonso stepped into the batter's
box and he clubbed a two-run home run making Palo Alto the victor and
beginning a joyous home town celebration. Both teams ended up with 8 hits on
