Garrett Richards completed the game without help from the bullpen as the
sizzling Selma Stompers defeated the Stockton Delta Kings by the score of 8
to 2 at Selma Coliseum.
It was a good day for Selma thanks to Corey Dickerson. He tripled bringing in
a run in the 1st inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the
3rd inning. Selma rapped out 10 hits for the afternoon.
Richards(2-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. Jeff
Samardzija(0-1) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 3 homeruns in 2 and 1/3
innings of work.
Selma won for the 8th straight time. 'We're running on all cylinders now',
said Jerry Unger. 'I probably shouldn't change a thing and let the guys
continue to put up the wins.'
