Tyler O'Neill ripped 3 home runs and had 6 RBI at the Selma Coliseum where
the Selma Stompers beat the Inglewood Ignats 20 to 12.
O'Neill enjoyed a great day at the plate. Every time he came up in the latter
innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' in the 4th inning, lofted a three-run bomb in the 5th inning and
delivered a solo blast in the 7th inning. Selma bats were hot in the 5th
inning which saw them plate 7 runs on 7 hits and the 8th inning tallying 5
runs. Selma simply wore out the Inglewood pitching staff, scoring in 6
different innings.
The winning pitcher was Tony Santillan(3-0) who allowed no runs in 3 and 1/3
innings. Robbie Ray(0-2) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 3 home runs
in his 4 and 1/3 innings.
