In a good matchup it was the seemingly unstoppable Selma Stompers 5, the San
Jose Kitchen Zinks 3 at Zink County Stadium.
Selma had 3 runs cross the plate in the top of the 4th inning when they came
up with 3 base hits. Tyler O'Neill was the sparkplug when he smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly'. Masyn Winn next to the plate and he banged out a
single. After an out was recorded, Otto Kemp then cracked a two-run shot.
Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.
The winning pitcher was Chris Sale(1-0) who allowed 3 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings. Sale got relief help from Tony Santillan who gained credit for his
2nd save. Mitchell Parker(0-2) was the loser.
