Ben Joyce stopped Fullerton cold as the Selma Stompers defeated the Fullerton
Fatboys by the score of 3 to 2 at Fatboy Stadium.
Selma scored the winning runs in the 8th inning plating 2 runs on 3 hits.
Connor Norby led off and keyed the rally when he slapped a single. Pinch-runner
Bryson Stott was safe at second on a stolen base. Two outs later Parker Meadows
stepped up to the plate and he cracked a two-run shot. The game was a scoreless
duel until the 6th inning.
Jake Cousins(2-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Joyce got
the save, his 7th. The losing pitcher was Alexis Diaz(1-2) in relief.
