Shortstop David Hamilton had 2 base hits as the Stockton OK Boomers defeated
the Fullerton Fatboys by a score of 4 to 3 at Fatboy Stadium.
Stockton came up with 2 runs in the top of the 4th inning. Mike Yastrzemski
led off and got things going when he drew a walk. Oswaldo Cabrera was next
and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Mitch Haniger dug into the batters box
next, but he struck out. Danny Jansen followed next and he lifted one out of
the park for a two run home run. Stockton had a total of 11 hits for the
game.
Andrew Abbott(2-3) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Dylan
Lee was credited with his 3rd save. The losing pitcher was Reese Olson(4-2).
Despite the loss, he struck out 9 Stockton batters in 6 and 1/3 innings.
'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly,' said Abbott. 'I was
just giving us a chance to win.'
